doulais a person whose mission is to reduce fear and instill strength for mothers, partners and families through continuous support. A doula helps people during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period by offeringevidence-based information, to providephysical supportand to beemotionally presentand available. It is becoming increasingly common for parents to choose to hire a doula as support in connection with childbirth, and the demand seems to increase over time.

To be able to perform this profession in onesustainable wayand withhigh qualitywe see that it is both important and valuable to have basic training in the various processes and perspectives of childbirth, as well as to gain knowledge about today's maternity care with the routines and guidelines that our clients must navigate. To be able to work as a doula over time, you need a high level of awareness about your own role and a network of other doulas.

Din Gravidcoachs doula training

Din Gravidcoach founder Anna Tallwe is also the founder of this doula training. In 2017, she invited Emma Philipsson from Förlossningspodden and for several years they have together trained doulas all over the country, including several of Swedens most established and experienced birth workers: (Opokua Britton(@curlydoula), Anneli Lundblad The doula mother, Emilia Vicenta, Josefine fromThe baby and us,Queertilityetc. ) Where Emma ends, Annas closest colleagues and business partners take over. Aniara and Malin has been invited as a co-creator to the doula training to, together with Anna, pass on the knowledge and at the same time weave in additional perspective, experience and competence.

The training alternates between theory, self-reflection and practice so that you feel well prepared for the task. Being a doula is more than just theoretical knowledge. You work with yourself as your greatest tooland it is crucial to understand how, based on your unique personality, you can be a reliable support and carry out the role professionally.

We do this in collaboration with external expert lecturers; midwives, obstetricians and lactation consultants. Information about which lecturers are booked for each course will be available shortly.

Included in the training, you are offered two individual coaching sessions so that you feel as safe as possible before and during your first assignment. During the tutorial, you will receive feedback, advice and support on how best to create yoursbusiness as a doula.

We only take in a limited number of participants so that you as a participant can receive as much individual support as possible.
